Please describe yourself and your areas of interest.

I have a keen interest in emerging art/artists and promotion of The John Ruskin Prize initiated in 2012 by the Guild of St George and the Campaign for Drawing (now the Big Draw an arts education charity ) which is ''the fastest growing multi disciplinary art prize in the UK.''Since its inception the prize has expanded to embrace artists ,designers and makers and includes a prize for recent graduate(s). I am also interested in Ruskin biography, his several homes and gardens, his relationship and comments /commentaries on artists (those who painted on flat surfaces) and visits particularly those to The Royal Academy various 19th century locations in London.

Why did you become a Companion of the Guild?

Having purchased work at the 2nd and 4th exhibition of the John Ruskin Prize I became hooked and able subscribe support the objects of the Guild which are stated in the Articles of Association 'to promote the advancement of education and training in the field of rural economy, industrial design and appreciation of the arts, in accordance with the principles set out in the Letters to Working Men by John Ruskin published under the title Fors Clavigera''
