Companions' Day date change

We regret to report that we have been forced to change the date of the Companions' Day from Saturday, 17th June to Saturday, 24th June.

This year's events will take place in the beautiful Hertfordshire village of Westmill, where the Guild still owns several arts-and-crafts properties. These were entrusted to us by Mary Hope Greg (1850-1949), a keen collector, generous philanthropist, and 'Companion Extraordinaire' of the Guild. Mrs Greg and Westmill will be the subject of an illustrated talk by Liz Mitchell, and copies of the text will be available for purchase. There will also be a short talk about the church architect, Charles Spooner (1862-1938), another Companion who lived in Westmill. This will be followed by a short tour of the village led by Spooner's biographer, Alec Hamilton. Further details of the day will follow  soon.

We are grateful to the T. and M. Greg Trust for helping us to host this event in the Village Hall. It promises to be a fascinating day.
