Inspired by Ruskin, a roundtable discussion co-sponsored by Manchester Metropolitan University, looked at issues of sustainability from a variety of different perspectives. We heard talks from representatives of ShareAction (the ethical investment group), 42nd Street (the mental-health charity for young people based in Manchester), Ruskin Mill (the education trust), Unto This Last (the London-based furniture makers), the Wyre Community Land Trust (which operates from the Guild’s land near Bewdley and looks after its woodland there), and students involved in research and activity connected with Ruskin’s values and ideals.
