Beautiful, peaceful, fruitful: Ruskin in Wyre

2nd March 2019 - 28th April 2019

EXHIBITION AT BEWDLEY MUSEUM

In John Ruskin’s bicentenary year, this exhibition celebrates the Ruskin in Wyre project, mixing new art and craft work alongside historic items.

PLEASE NOTE that the exhibition is open every day depending on sufficient stewarding availability at Bewdley Museum. Before a visit, please call the museum on the day to check.

People who participated in the project explored the heritage of Ruskin Land in the Wyre Forest, showing how Ruskin’s vision for a place that is ‘beautiful, peaceful and fruitful’ can be reinterpreted and reinvigorated by communities in a practical and sustainable way for the future.

The exhibition features work by John Ruskin himself and by his protege John Wharlton Bunney, from the Guild's Ruskin Collection in Sheffield.

At Bewdley Museum from 2 March - 28 April 2019.
