Beautiful, peaceful, fruitful: Ruskin in Wyre

2nd March 2019 - 14th April 2019

EXHIBITION AT BEWDLEY MUSEUM

In John Ruskin’s bicentenary year, this exhibition will be a celebration of the Ruskin in Wyre project, mixing new art and craft work alongside historic items.

People who participated in the project explored the heritage of Ruskin Land in the Wyre Forest, showing how Ruskin’s vision for a place that is ‘beautiful, peaceful and fruitful’ can be reinterpreted and reinvigorated by communities in a practical and sustainable way for the future.

The exhibition will feature work by John Ruskin himself and by John Wharlton Bunney, from the Ruskin Collection of the Guild of St George at Museums Sheffield.

At Bewdley Museum from 2 March - 28 April 2019.
