Please describe yourself and your areas of interest.

I trained as a Social Worker at Sheffield Polytechnic but for 40 years have printed and published handmade books under the Fleece Press imprint. I have a particular interest in wood engravers, and my family started making boxwood printing blocks in 1859. My books – about 90 of them – are always new ones, only two are of poetry, and mostly relate to interwar artists, with a number relating to war artists too. I work alone, and a lot of my work involves a combination of hand and brain which adds essential meaning to my life.
