Genevieve Pilley was a local woman and noted illuminating artist and was determined people in Sheffield should not forget the inspirational power of John Ruskin's precious and unique collection.
The author Helen Parker grew up in Sheffield, close to Meersbrook Park. Her working life has been spent in adult and higher education and the voluntary sector. She became a volunteer with the Ruskin in Sheffield project and a Companion of the Guild in 2015. Helen became intrigued by Pilley's extraordinary contribution to the Ruskin Museum when working as a volunteer at Meersbrook Hall.
