Micro residency at the Ruskin Collection

Sheffield Museums Trust are please to announce that Billy Hughes has been chosen as the artist for the Ruskin Collection Micro Residency, funded by the Guild. Billy’s application demonstrated strong skills in observational drawing and an exciting approach to Ruskin’s ideas. Billy is interested in the relationship between observation and drawing and how this relates to literal and spiritual truth.  He is also interested in exploring Ruskin’s belief in the egalitarianism of drawing. Billy will spend time looking at the Ruskin Collection between January and March 2023. He will present a workshop at the Millennium Gallery during February 2023, exact date tbc.
