Dominika Wielgopolan-Morton
How would you define yourself?
Nature-lover, Ruskin enthusiast, civil servant, recently - Director of the Guild

Please describe yourself and your areas of interest.
I am a researcher in the UK civil service, working with citizens to understand their needs and advocating for government services that are useful, inclusive, and accessible. My academic background is in Ruskin’s environmental and communitarian thought, explored during my PhD, and I continue to be interested in how these ideas inform meaningful work, sustainability, and community engagement. I love being outdoors, and I’m happiest exploring the Scottish Highlands, finding inspiration in landscapes as much as in ideas.
Why did you become a Companion of the Guild?
I became a Companion because I was drawn to the Guild’s engagement with Ruskin’s vision of environmental stewardship, community, and meaningful work. I value being part of a diverse network of people who share a commitment to caring for the natural world and making a positive difference in society. Joining the Guild allows me to connect my personal interests in nature and sustainability with a wider community dedicated to thoughtful action and collective impact.
